Mavrud "VINICA"is our iconic wine. His qualities are due to a specific approach, used by the vintners in North Italy for centuries, but unknown in our region. Zagreus winemaking team apply this method for the first time in Bulgaria

Vinification: The grapes are sorted and kept drying for two months in open and well-ventilated place, achieving a natural concentration of sugars, acidity, color and flavors. The dried grapes are crushed and fermented with the stems.
Ageing: 18 months in new barrels, Bulgarian oak;
In bottles for more than 12 months before marketing.
Ageing potential: 15 years
Tasting notes: Exclusively extractive and full-bodied wine. Complex fruity-spicy aroma with notes of vanilla, chocolate and dried fruits. Rich and balanced taste with velvet tannins and long finish.
